JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 55-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Friday afternoon to 15 years in prison on two counts of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors.
Alexander Silvers also received one year in the Duval County jail on each of the three counts of battery he was convicted of earlier this month. The sentences run concurrently.

In June 2012, Silvers had sex with a 17-year-old girl at his home. During the crime, the victim was able to get away from Silvers and contact a friend for help.
The friend rescued the teen from Silvers' home. The victim then contacted her mother, who called police.
