Father of girl killed in quad shooting speaks out

2 men, 2 women killed Thursday night in Murray Hill

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the first time, Channel 4 is hearing from the father of one of the sisters killed in Thursday night's quadruple shooting in Murray Hill.

Keshell Brown's father, Christopher Daniels, talked to Channel 4 in an exclusive interview and said his daughter and her sister Keyonna were inseperable -- two great girls who were always happy.

Saturday night their family and friends held a vigil at the scene to remember them, and pray for the capture of their killer.

Gontrell Hagans and Derek Williams were also killed Thursday in the shooting. Dozens gathered in memory of Keshell and Keyonna.

"Sad and going through a lot right now," said Christopher Daniels, Brown's dad. "I hope they catch the killer that killed my daughter."

Daniels says his Keshell (on right in picture of sisters) always had a smile on her face.

"My daughter was a lovely young lady, fun, had a lot of friends," said Daniels. "She didn't deserve it and whoever did it, I hope they catch him."

He's praying the killer of his daughter Keshell and her sister Keyonna is caught soon, so family and friends of the two young women can begin to find justice for the sisters.

Nearly 50 people held candles, sang and prayed Saturday night as they gathered just blocks from where Keshell and Keyonna were killed, along with two others.

"Turn yourself in," said Daniels. "Turn yourself in. There's no use in running. You're going to get caught eventually, so please turn yourself in."

Daniels said Keshell and Keyonna were more than just sisters, they were best friends who were taken too soon.

"They were sisters, but they were more like twins," Daniels said. "They were too close, they weren't one without the other. It was good, they were good girls.

Family members said they have yet to hear from police, but are taking it day by day and hoping that an arrest is made.
