Police identify body found inside car

60-year-old considered homicide victim


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police have identified the 60-year-old man found dead in a car Monday evening on Agyle Forest Boulevard.

Just before 7 p.m. Monday, a police officer was flagged down by a citizen who said a person appeared to be dead inside a car, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The officer verified that there was a deceased individual inside the car and called homicide detectives and the medical examiner.

Police said the cause of death is unknown. Police secured the area and began looking for witnesses and evidence.

On Thursday, the JSO identified the victim as Stanley Kalisz, who lived in a neighborhood several miles west of where he was found.

Police say the investigation of his death is active and ongoing.
