JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The boyfriend of a woman who pleaded guilty to pawning jewelry missing from a slain woman's home has been arrested in Brevard County on unrelated domestic battery charges.
Marvin Jones, identified in media reports as the boyfriend of Constance Messina, is being held in the Brevard County jail.
Messina pleaded guilty to pawning jewelry missing from the home of 71-year-old Marilyn Alu. Alu was found dead in her East Arlington home on Swimming Salmon Place North in September and her killing remains unsolved.
Part of Messina's plea deal was she must "testify truthfully," though it's unclear what about.
Anyone with any information about Alu's death is asked to call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
