A prowler call led to a drug bust in Arizona after police discovered 1,000 pounds of marijuana at a home in the neighborhood.

Officers were searching a neighborhood in Tolleson early Tuesday when they saw a man crouching in a vehicle under a carport, Phoenix TV station KSAZ reported.

They smelled marijuana as they approached the home, and the man then ran away.

Another man also ran from the home, where officers said they found the drugs.

Perfecto Nunez, 30, and Senon Zavala-Meza, 39, now face charges of possessing marijuana, possessing marijuana for sale, possessing marijuana for transportation and criminal trespassing.
