2 convicted in child sex sting operation

Clay County Sheriff's Office booking photos of Danny Pasicolan and Jared Snow

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were convicted this week on charges of traveling to meet a minor to do unlawful acts, unlawful use of a two-way communications device, and solicitation of a child to engage in sexual conduct.

Danny Pasicolan, 31, was also found guilty of transmission of material harmful to minors.

In October, Pasicolan and 23-year-old Jared Snow ere caught in a sting operation conducted by the Clay County Sheriff's Office and the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in which detectives posed as a 13-year-old girl who posted an advertisement on Craigslist.

Pasicolan and Snow both arranged to meet with the undercover detective, who posed as the young girl, and drove to the address she gave them. Pasicolan also sent sexually explicit photos of himself, even after learning that the girl was only 13.

Pasicolon now faces 40 years in prison. Snow faces up to 35 years in prison.
