Police said an SUV was making a left onto Atlantic from Debutante when the officer crashed into it.

Police were investigating who was at fault. No one has been cited yet.

Both drivers were taken to Baptist Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance video from a nearby store appears to show the officer had the police cruiser lights on, and the store owner said he heard sirens before the crash.

Two westbound lanes on Atlantic were closed after the crash and reopened just before 1 p.m.
