Starke man, 29, wins $1M scratch-off prize

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A 29-year-old Starke man claimed a $1 million top prize Thursday in the $200 million Spectacular scratch-off game at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

Andres Garcia Jimenez chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for his winnings in the amount of $769,960.05. He purchased his winning ticket at In and Out Food Store at 708 N. Temple Ave. in Starke.

The $10 scratch-off game featured more than $220 million in prizes when it launched in 2008. The game has three $1 million top prizes remaining, and the overall odds of winning are one-in-3.58.
