Severe thunderstorms have spawned at least one confirmed tornado in Denver, grounding flights at Denver International Airport, The Associated Press reported.
Rotating clouds have been seen outside of the city, the AP said. A twister touched down east of the airport in Watkins, the National Weather Service said.

The Denver area has already seen heavy rain and hail, according to the AP, causing sirens to go off in Denver and surrounding communities.
