An Ohio man's idea to raise a few bucks to make potato salad for the first time has netted more than $36,000.
Zack Danger Brown asked for $10 on the popular crowdfunding website Kickstarter.
"Basically, I'm just making potato salad. I haven't decided what kind yet," he wrote.
As of Tuesday morning, donations had reached $36,920.
A man claiming to be Brown on Reddit expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support to make his "dream" come true.
He plans to have a potato salad party for all his backers willing to fly to his home in Columbus.
"Potato salad seems to unite people of all backgrounds and I think that's really wonderful," Reddit user ZTBrown wrote.
