Man struck by car on Southside

Driver not expected to face charges, according to FHP


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is recovering after he was hit by a car on the Southside early Tuesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said at 12:36 a.m. they were dispatched to a crash with injuries on University Boulevard, just south of Beach Boulevard.

When troopers arrived, they found that a man had been hit by a car.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

FHP said the driver is not expected to face any charges.

The identities of the man and the driver have not yet been released. FHP is expected to release a report on the crash Tuesday afternoon.
