The ALS ice bucket challenge has gone presidential.

Former President George W. Bush was challenged by several people, including his daughter Jenna Hager Bush and golfer Rory McIlroy, to donate money toward researching the disease or dump a bucket of ice water over his head as part of a cause that's taken over social media.

In a video posted to Facebook, Bush said he didn't think it was "presidential" to be doused with ice water so he planned to write a check instead.

But in the middle of writing out his check, former first lady Laura Bush appeared and dumped a bucket over water over Bush's head anyway.

So who's he extending the ALS challenge to now? None other than former President Bill Clinton.

"Yesterday was Bill's birthday and my gift to Bill is a bucket of cold water," Bush said.
