Car crashes into laundromat

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A car crashed into a laundromat before  9 a.m. Sunday in San Jose off San Jose Boulevard near Ricky Road.

We're told a woman who was working at the laundromat had to be rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"A gray vehicle completely inside the building, which was unbelievable. It's usually half way out. This was completely inside the building," said Michael Winn, who saw the crash aftermath.

After the crash Winn was thinking the worst.

"Are people dead? I mean, this just happened. I'm thinking people sit there in the store front waiting for laundry to be done. Thank God no one was killed or hurt," said Winn.

The business was surrounded by caution tape as the owner worked to clean up the damage.
He didn't want to speak to News4Jax, but did say  he laundry mat opens at 7 a.m. on Sundays.

For at least part of the day people had to go elsewhere to do their laundry.
