Kangaroo store robber sought by police

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police are trying to identify a man who robbed a Kangaroo Express store Sunday morning.

Police said the man, armed with a handgun, went into the store at 9901 New Kings Road in Northwest Jacksonville just after 5 a.m. and demanded money and cigarettes.

Once he got what he wanted, he left.

Witnesses described the handgun as black with an orange tip, but all felt it was real, police said.

The robber is described as a black man, between 23 and 29 years old, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and between 130 and 150 pounds.
