JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police said a 23-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint and shot Wednesday night in the lobby of the Franklin Arms Apartments on Franklin Street.
Lt. Daniel Kenney of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the victim struggled with the robber over his wallet and the fight spilled out into the parking lot of the Eastside apartment complex.

"The suspect shot the victim in the upper left thigh of his leg and ran off in an unknown direction," Kenney said.
The victim was taken to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are working with management at the apartment to see if any surveillance video is available.
