Committee approves Grace Farms development

Full council to take up issue at Tuesday's meeting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City Council's land use and zoning committee has given unanimous approval to a proposed high-density housing development in Mandarin.

The development, called Grace Farms, would have 67 homes on just 17 acres on Plummer Grant Road.

The planning commission previously voted 6-2 against it.

The full council will take up the Grace Farms development, south of Old St. Augustine Road, at Tuesday's meeting.

Residents have contended the project will ruin their rural way of life.
