JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A lane change on the Buckman Bridge on Thursday evening began a series of events that left a SUV hanging on the guardrail and the driver shaken, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The FHP said Tammy Jennings, 43, was driving south on the bridge in a Mazda Tribute SUV around 6 p.m. and attempted to change lanes, then overcorrected when she saw a vehicle on her right.

Jennings lost control and began to serve from lane to lane, according to the FHP report. Her SUV struck the right side of a Ford Escape, driven by Anna Johnson, 21.
Jennings' SUV began to overturn and ended up perched on the guardrail, dangerously close to going into the St. Johns River.
Johnson sustained minor injuries, according to FHP.
Jennings' sister told News4Jax her sister is quite shaken up, but she's not seriously hurt. FHP said Jennings was cited for careless driving.
Traffic was backed up on the bridge while troopers investigated the crash.
The crash couldn't help but bring back memories of the most recent bad crash on the Buckman Bridge. In July, William Maddox was killed when his pickup was knocked off the bridge by another car, and plunged into the St. Johns River. The crash spurred an investigation into the safety of the bridge by the Florida Department of Transportation.
FDOT told News4Jax it's still conducting a review of safety on the bridge and it'll be talking to the Florida Highway Patrol about the details of this latest crash.
Transportation officials also said they hope to have a plan on what type of changes, if any, need to be made on the bridge in the coming months.
