Blood Alliance: Supply critically low, donors needed


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Blood Alliance is facing a critical shortage of its blood supply.

The organization is extremely critical on O-positive, O-negative, A-negative and B-positive blood types.

Eligible donors are encouraged to go to any of the area donation centers in Mandarin, the Westside, Orange Park, the Southside, Deerwood, Jacksonville Beach, Mayo Clinic, St. Augustine or St. Mary's, Georgia.

All donors who give blood at any donor center this month receive a pair of general admission tickets to Jaxtoberfest.

Donors can also donate at a bloodmobile, including one of the following mobile blood drives:
