Teen grazed by bullet in NW Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An 18-year-old was grazed by a bullet that passed through her bedroom window Monday afternoon, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officers responded to a call of shots being fired at Washington Heights Apartments on Monday at 3:25 p.m. A few minutes later the call was upgraded to someone being shot.

Officers found the teenager, who was not transported to the hospital.

The apartment below the shooting victim's was also struck by gunfire, but no one was injured in the attack.

Police said it appeared a person was shooting at another person or both people were shooting at each other.

No suspect information or evidence information was given out at the scene.
