COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Columbia County deputies foiled a burglary suspect's escape plan after a break-in at a home early Friday morning, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said a resident called 911 at about 4:20 a.m. and reported seeing a man climb the fence into Green's Marine at 1613 E. Duval St. and tamper with the security camera at the business.

Deputies were on scene in a matter of minutes and set a perimeter around the business.
