JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was airlifted to UF Health Gainesville with life-threatening injuries after an industrial accident Friday afternoon at a seniors home off Kings Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Police said around 4:40 p.m. the man, who is a contractor for Campus Towers at 1850 Kings Road, was in a lift attempting to replace windows and made contact with live power lines, which left him with severe electrical burns.

He was transported to a hospital and then airlifted to the Gainesville trauma center.
The man's family has been contacted, but his name has not yet been released.
Another employee was with the victim but was not injured, police said.
