JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 30-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested Saturday after police said he killed one woman and critically injured another at a Baymeadows hotel, stabbing them each several times.
Chad Hurst is charged with murder and attempted murder, and is being held without bond at the Duval County jail. He made two first appearances in court, one on each charge, and his next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17.

Early Saturday morning, police found the women at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndam hotel off Baymeadows Road. One was found just inside a room and the other just outside.
Police have not released the identities of the women. Investigators said they're still trying to make next of kin notification for the woman who was killed.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will hold a news conference Tuesday regarding the case.
