According to court documents, a detective from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office began an undercover operation to identify people using a particular Internet file sharing program to obtain and share child pornography. During the investigation, the detective determined that Conrad was offering images of child pornography for distribution.
On Dec. 15, 2011, a search warrant was executed at Conrad's home, and two laptops and three external hard drives were seized. During an interview, Conrad said, among other things, that the age of the youngest child in any of the downloaded child pornography was "maybe 6."
Subsequent forensic analyses revealed that the computer media contained 504 images and 145 videos depicting child pornography.
