JAX Chamber holding event to connect businesses

Bridge to Business Connections is for both entrepreneurs and suppliers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It's been four months since the Jacksonville Chamber launched JAX Bridge, a program designed to connect small and medium-sized companies with opportunities to do business with larger corporations. The program has been enrolling and training entrepreneurs for the past four months, and now they are hosting a new event. On Dec. 2, the Chamber will host The Bridges to Business Connections event for both entrepreneurs and suppliers.

The JAX Chamber says the JAX Bridges is a platform for it to connect businesses with innovative tools to grow their businesses. There are three main components:
- Capital stream to connect businesses with loans
- A business portal to connect businesses to opportunities
- Entrepreneurial education to get businesses owners ready for opportunities with large corporations

The Bridge to Business Connections Event will be a day of education from national speakers, experts in business development and corporate purchasing executives who can share what large companies are looking for. The JAX Chamber will be using social media during the event to connect people. and give them the tools they need to make connections in real time and have access to the presentations on their mobile device.

The Bridge to Business Connections Event is December 2, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Schultz Center. The price for JAX Chamber members is $65 per person. For Non-Members the price is $85 per person.
