Red-light camera video shows narrow miss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – New video from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office offered evidence of how important it is to "respect the red."

One of the city's red-light cameras captured a near-miss on the Westside at 103rd Street and Ricker Road.

Once the light turns red, a car driving turns across 103rd. Then a car driving westbound flies through the intersection, narrowly missing it.

The second driver ran the light nearly two seconds after it turned red.
