JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A fireman was hurt by falling debris as the roof collapsed on a burning home in Arlington on Thursday morning, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

The firefighter was taken to an emergency facility with minor injuries.

Firefighters were called to a fully involved fire at a vacant home in the 8300 block of Vermanth Road about 10 a.m.

When it looked like the roof was about to collapse, all firefighters were ordered out.

The cause of the fire is suspicious, according to the Fire Department, and the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate.
