Deputies: Reports of shots fired near UCF fraternity house


ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff's Office is investigating reports of shots being fired near a University of Central Florida Fraternity house.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to Khayyam Avenue a little before 1 this morning for gun shots heard in the area.

The Sheriff Office said deputies met with a victim who stated two black men approached him and wanted to join the party.

He told deputies that he told the men that the party was private. That is when the victim said one of the men pointed a gun at his face.

He told deputies several people from the party went outside. The men walked away and the one with the gun fired several rounds. No one was hurt.

According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies conducted an area check but were unable to locate the men.

The Sheriff's Office said the victim refused to complete a statement or cooperate with the investigation.
