FHP: 3 hurt after truck runs red light

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three people were suffered serious injuries in a crash on the Westside on Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on 103rd Street at State Road 23 about 10:40 a.m.

State troopers said Charles White II, 49, of Orange Park, was driving his pickup truck south on State Road 23 when he failed to stop at a red light and was struck by a van.

Troopers said the van was driven by Ian Brown, 53, of Jacksonville. Deborah Horne, 53, of Tucker, Ga., was a passenger.

Brown had the right of way and continued through the intersection, striking the left side of the pickup truck, troopers said. The truck overturned several times.

All three hurt were taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening.

White was charged with running a red light.
