FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – A 32-year-old Nassau County man pleaded guilty Monday morning to seven counts of custodial sexual battery, three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and one count of possession of child pornography.
Jeremiah Donald Potter was sentenced to 40 mandatory years in prison, followed by a lifetime sex offender probation. He was also designated a dangerous sexual felony offender.

In May 2014, the now 13-year-old victim disclosed to her father a history of sexual abuse that had occurred between her and Potter. The victim's father then reported the abuse to authorities.
The investigation revealed that the defendant forced the child to perform sexual acts with him multiple times in 2012. The victim also identified a second victim.
The second victim, now 11-years-old, confirmed that Potter had also sexually abused her from June 2007 through June 2014.
