PALATKA, Fla. – A 42-year-old Crescent City man and his two children were injured early Monday morning when he turned left in front of a Putnam County school bus, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Phillip Beasley was driving east on County Road 308 just before 7 a.m. when he attempted to turn left onto U.S. 17. The southbound school bus struck the driver's side of Beasley's car.

Beasley was critically injured and his 7- and 15-year-old sons ware seriously injured. All were transported to Halifax Hospital.
The driver of the bus, 67-year-old Dorothy Bainbridge, suffered minor injuries but did not need hospitalization. There were no children on the bus.
