Jacksonville Beach police seek information on runaway teen

Sierra Jade Morgan, 16, was reported as a runaway from Jacksonville Beach on Dec. 3.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Jacksonville Beach Police Department says a 16-year-old girl who ran away Dec. 3 has returned home.

Around 5:50 p.m. Dec. 3, the JBPD responded to the 1st Street South in reference to a runaway teen.

Sierra Jade Morgan, described as white, 5-feet, 2-inches tall and about 140 pounds, was last seen wearing a blue hooded jacket and pink tennis shoes. She left her home around 5 p.m. and was reportedly leaving to get the mail and never returned.

There were no reported disturbances or arguments prior to her leaving.

Detectives were working with the family and her friends to develop any further leads in the investigation.

On Tuesday morning, JBPD released a statement that the girl had returned home without incident and sharing that the family appreciated the support of the community.
