JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the Eastside area Monday evening.
Deputies said the shooting happened just after 8 p.m. at East Third Street and Franklin Street.

When deputies arrived, they said they found the victim, who said he was walking on East Third Street, when he was shot in the leg.
The victim was taken to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies said they are now looking for a man wearing a grey hoodie.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit also responded to the scene.
