LAKE CITY, Fla. – A homicide fugitive out of New York was arrested Tuesday in Lake City, officials said.
A "Be on the lookout" alert was issued for Ardell Holmes, 33, who officials said had ties to Columbia County.

Columbia County Sheriff's Office Detective Martin Lee received information that Holmes was at 658 N.E. Bailey Street in Lake City.
CCSO officials said deputies and U.S. Marshals surrounded the home and Holmes was taken into custody after a short negotiation.
Holmes was taken to the Columbia County Detention Facility. He is being held on no bond.
