A 19-year-old Lake City McDonald's employee was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and probation violation after he reportedly pointed a gun at a customer.

According to Lake City police, on Tuesday night the manager of the McDonald's at 491 SW Main Blvd. in Lake City was told that one of his employees, Joseph Leonard Fiene, pulled a gun on a customer and then put the gun in a trash can.

When police arrived, they found the gun in a can inside the fast food restaurant. Fiene admitted he had the gun but denied pointing it at anyone, police said.

Fiene was arrested and taken to the Columbia County Detention Center.

Police found Fiene was also on active felony probation and he was charged with no bond.
