Driver hits family's car disabled on JTB

No injuries reported in crash involving 3 vehicles

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A driver hit a car disabled on the side of JTB and Kernan Boulevard late Monday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

A female was with her disabled car on the side of JTB eastbound and called her parents for help sometime around 10 p.m.  They arrived and her father was in the process of towing her vehicle when a driver hit it from behind.

The man's wife was inside the disabled car.  She was able to make it out minutes before the car went up in flames.

No serious injuries were reported.  All lanes of JTB eastbound were briefly shut down while troopers investigated.

The names of the people involved were not immediately released.  This article will be updated when FHP releases a crash report.
