Car crashes into pole; driver uninjured

Norwood Avenue was closed for nearly two hours

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Electric Authority crews are working to repair a power pole after a car crashed into it, causing it to fall into the roadway in the Brentwood area.

All lanes of Norwood Avenue were closed just south of West 44th Street for about two hours early Wednesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

According to police, sometime after 5 a.m. a car crashed into a power pole, causing it to fall into the roadway. The driver was uninjured, according to JSO.

JEA crews have not yet told us if any customers would be affected by the damaged power pole. The roadway reopened just before 7 a.m.
