JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A JEA contractor will shut down a portion of a road in Mandarin on Thursday to pave it after a water main break last week.
Warren's Asphalt, Inc., will temporarily close Hartley Road from Hampton Road to Casa Grande Drive Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If the weather prevents the contractor from finishing the paving, the work will be finished Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Detour signs will be set up to guide drivers around the construction area. Electronic message boards will be placed in advance, notifying commuters of the closure.
Eastbound traffic on Hartley Road will be detoured south (right) to Hampton Road, then east (left) on Burnett Park Road, then north (left) on Pine Acres Road, and then east (right) on Hartley Road.
Hartley Road west from Pine Acres Road to Casa Grande Drive will be open to local traffic only. All other westbound traffic on Hartley Road will be detoured south (left) to Pine Acres Road, then west (right) on Burnett Park Road, then north (right) on Hampton Road, and then west (left) on Hartley Road.
