Former GE CEO Jack Welch to headline One Spark

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One Spark is the world's largest crowdfunding festival and tries to bring artists, entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world together with the human and capital resources they need to launch great new ideas.

The festival comes to the Florida Theater April 7-12 and this year the headliner for the event is former General Electric CEO and author Jack Welch and his wife Suzy.

"We are looking forward to coming to Jacksonville to share stories and lessons learned with the next generation of creators and innovators at One Spark's Speaker Summit," said Jack and Suzy Welch. "In today's world, there are those who strategize and there are those who act. One Spark is about action and bringing great ideas to life in a way that hasn't been done before. We are proud to be a part of it."

Welch will be taking answers directly from the audience, giving aspiring innovators the chance to get insight directly from a real captain of industry.

Some of those innovators will be students from the University of North Florida after a local philanthropist donated 105 One Spark Speaker Summit tickets to students so they could hear from and be inspired by world-class entrepreneurs and innovators.

University of North Florida's Campus Life will be distributing the tickets to students and interested students can pick up tickets starting Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Office of Campus Life in the Student Union East, Office, or call 904-620-5355.

"It's great to have people in our community paying it forward and the fact that 105 UNF students will have the opportunity to learn from top-tier entrepreneurs and business leaders, thanks to a few generous donations, truly embodies the One Spark spirit," said One Spark Co-founder and CEO Elton Rivas.
