We know somehow a driver slammed into the bakery sometime before 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Outlet manager says police knocked on his door Tuesday night and let him know someone crashed into his store. When he arrived, he saw the whole thing on surveillance video.

"I just saw the headlights of the car come through the parking lot and ran straight into the building. And pushed my counter up against the wall," said Outlet Retail Sales Manager, David Kirk.

Police said no injuries were reported.

"Very thankful... Because somebody would have lost their life, I believe, if they got hit by the car when it came through. Cause he was going pretty fast. If it hadn't been for the poles that we have up front to help stop it a little bit it could have been even worse," said Kirk.

Kirk said the damage from the crash was substantial.

"I'm hoping that our register and all that is intact but that's what we're checking out right now to see if it's going to be able to work today so we can hope to open up by noon. That's what we're shooting for," said Kirk.

Kirk said police told him that three people were in the car during the crash, but there were no workers inside the store at the time.

No further details were released by police.

Kirk said another vehicle has crashed into his store in the past, but not to this extent.
