ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Family and friends of a missing St. Johns County mother are not giving up hope on finding their loved one. Sabrina Brazel has not been seen in nearly 10 years.
They're going to hold a ceremony and post a sign, hoping to attract attention to Sabrina's case and find any information they can on the 42-year-old mother.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said she was last seen August 18th 2006, just days after she called investigators claiming her husband had assaulted her. He was later arrested and charged with domestic battery, but he was never called a suspect in his wife's disappearance.
Not too long after Brazel was reported missing, investigators received a tip that they would find her under the foundation of a home being built in St. Augustine. They used an electronic scanner at the construction site and detected something, but when they brought in dogs, the dogs found nothing.
News4JAX will be attending Thursday morning's event and we will have updates for you on the News4JAX.com.
If you have any information on the case of Sabrina Brazel, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
