JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Superheroes helped install a new sign at Nemours Children's Specialty Care, which is the new name for Nemours Children's Clinic.

Children gathered to watch Wolverine and Mr. Incredible at work.

"The kids loved seeing the superheroes," said medical director Michael Erhard, MD. "That's what we're all about, not only making kids healthy, but making them happy as well."

The 11-story building in San Marco is home to more than 110 physicians.  They provide services to more than 56,000 children each year from our area and abroad.

Nemours changed its name in response to consumer research.  It wants to provide clarity to families, providers and partners about what Nemours does in Jacksonville.

"We realized that our previous name didn't reflect the great care that was going on within the building," said Erhard.

Nemours has two other locations: Jacksonville's Southside and Fleming Island in Clay County.  Signage at those locations will be updated as well.
