Cops: Drug dealer tries to swallow 20 bags of heroin
Suspect spits out drugs 'like a Pez dispenser'
Springfield, Massachusetts (WSHM) – An alleged drug dealer attempted to swallow 20 bags of heroin while police arrested him last Thursday.
At about 1:45 p.m., Springfield, Massachusetts, police narcotics officers along with officers arrested 44-year-old Abraham Leon while he was selling heroin, according to Springfield police Sgt. John Delaney, the department's spokesman.
Detectives who had been watching Leon called for officers to move into the area and arrest him. As officers moved in to make the arrest they witnessed him stuff two bundles of heroin into his mouth.
"Well unless you're a hippopotamus there is no way anyone could swallow two bundles of dope. The arresting officer put out his hand and the dealer spit out the 20 bags like a Pez dispenser," Delaney said in a news release.
Leon was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, according to an arrest report.
