Gas station robber wanted

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking the public for help finding a man who robbed the Sunoco Gas just off Interstate 10 on Thursday.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a clerk of the store on 2900 Rayford Street, between McDuff and Day avenues, said a man came in and pointed a black rifle at him. The clerk ran out a side door, and when he returned several minutes later, he said it appeared nothing was taken.

Police released surveillance photos showing the suspect in the store after the clerk had left the store. The robber was described as a black man between 25 and 35 years old, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighting 140-150 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white hat, black and gray jacket, black pants and white shoes.
