Riders removed from The Hulk roller coaster

Coaster stopped working 50 yards from unloading area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A group of riders were removed from a roller coaster at Universal Orlando on Tuesday night after officials say a technical glitch caused the coaster to stop.

According to Orlando Fire Department dispatch, fire officials were called to Islands of Adventure for the Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster.

A dozen riders were taken off the car, which was stopped approximately 50 yards short of the unloading area, according to Tom Schroder with Universal Orlando.

Schroder said the glitch caused the ride system to come to a complete stop at the safest spot possible.

Schroder said Orlando Fire Department was called in an abundance of caution and all passengers were unharmed.
