Sheriff's deputies and SWAT serve two warrants in Flagler County

BUNNELL, Fla. – Two convicted felons are behind bars and more than 500 grams of marijuana, guns and ammunition are off the streets after a drug bust Thursday by sheriff's deputies and SWAT team members in Flagler County.

The bust came after the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit, the Investigation Services Division and a Flagler County SWAT team served two search warrants on two separate homes on East Booe Street in Bunnell.

Detectives obtained the warrants after investigating Wiley Raphael Jones, 28, and Rudy Emmanuel Hunter, 28, for selling drugs.

Jones was arrested at his house for selling marijuana within 1,000 feet of Edward Johnson City Park and once deputies were in the home, found $9,700, a Colt Cobra .38-caliber revolver, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and 570 grams of marijuana.

He was also arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon and was taken to the Flagler County Detention Center on a $31,000 bond.

Officers arrested Hunter at his home, where they said they found methamphetamine, marijuana, shotgun ammunition and drug paraphernalia.  Hunter was booked into the Flagler County Detention Center on charges of sale or possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.  He is being held on a $21,000 bond.

"Our investigators often put themselves in harm's way to keep our community safe. I commend our SIU, ISD and SWAT members for a job well done," Sheriff James L. Manfre said.
