Santa Fe High evacuated for bomb threat

ALACHUA, Fla. – All students at Santa Fe High School in Alachua were evacuated Friday due to a bomb threat that was called in around 1:15 p.m., according to the Alachua Police Department.

Police said a suspicious plastic bag was found in garbage of a restroom, where a threatening note was written on the wall.

The Alachua Police Department was on the scene, along with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office bomb squad.

The all clear was given just before 4 p.m. Police said the plastic bag was empty.
