10 arrested during 6-week Putnam County drug investigation, deputies say

MELROSE, Fla. – Ten people have been arrested after suspicious activity in a Melrose neighborhood led to a six-week drug investigation.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said Ivan Russel and Elton Hager were using and distributing narcotics out of a house at 234 Country Living Circle.

Authorities executed a search warrant Friday evening and found a firearm drug paraphernalia, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, cocaine and prescription narcotics, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Russell, a seven-time convicted felon who was on federal probation, was charged with the sale of cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held in the Putnam County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

Hagar, who is a three-time a convicted felon, was with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a $26,000 bond.

In addition to Russell and Hagar, officials arrested Jessica Marie Ernest, 25, Troy Brandon Gilliam, 34, Jared Camplesi, 23, Shannon Marie Allen, 36, Thomas Welles, 53, Timothy Ray Little, 47, Summer Dawn Strickland, 29, and Dean Frank Hall, 50.
