Florida Ranks Second in Job Growth

The Bureau of Labor revealed statistics on state employment for March.


The job market in the Sunshine State remains one of the best in the nation, according to the Bureau of Labor's latest statistical data.

Florida posted the second highest job growth from March 2014 to March 2015. During that time Florida grew the job market by 3.67%. The only state who had a higher growth rate was Utah with 3.95%.

Florida's unemployment rate also dropped from 6.5% in March 2014 to 5.7% in March 2015.

Florida still has a slightly higher unemployment rate than the U.S. average of 5.5%. 

Georgia has also improved their job market with a growth rate of 3.09%.

Georgia's unemployment rate has dropped as well from 7.3% in March 2014 to 6.3% in March 2015.
