Fans rejoice after Jags draft Dante Fowler Jr.

Former Florida defensive end picked No. 3 overall

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than 10,000 fans erupted Thursday night after hearing the name of the next player coming to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

During the 2015 NFL draft party fans partied the night away, excited that Florida defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., the No. 3 pick in the draft, will now make Jag Nation his home.

"I think it's a great pick. We need that defensive end to get in there and get them sacks. We got a lot of quarter backs we're playing against this year and the defensive really needs that," Jags fan Matt Anderson said.

While some are more excited about the future of the team, others, like 19-year-old William Thorton, lined up to meet the team's past stars.

"Since I was like 3 years old this (helmet has) been sitting in my room and I was able to actually get it signed today and that was pretty cool," Thorton said.

Autographs, cheerleaders and plenty of beer were also part of the celebration at EverBank Field as kids got their faces painted and revelers took to the Clevelander deck pool.

No matter how they celebrate, thousands of fans from the Jaguar Nation hope the 2015 season will be absolutely amazing.
