The investigation revealed that there was an ongoing dispute between 20-year-old Sayton Adair Waller and Georges that began when the two were in high school.

During the incident, Waller confronted the victims after they got into their vehicle. The defendant then fired several shots at them before fleeing the scene.

Waller now faces mandatory life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of June 22.
